| Page Title |
Page title is the most important piece of text to identify a page. It is often used by search engine as the name of your page and is displayed in the search result. The page title often determines how search engines index and rank a website. The page title should be short and to the point. |
| Domain Name |
A domain name is almost as important as the page title, as most search engines give higher rankings to sites with domain names relevant to their content. This is another reason why having a good domain name is extremely important to the success of your site. |
| Meta Tags |
Meta tags normally are put in the head section of a HTML page and they are invisible to your site visitors. However, search engines may read them and find out some information about your sites. |
| Keyword Tag |
A meta tag that tells search engines keywords/terms related to your site and therefore the search engine return your sites to users if they use the terms in the search engine. Normally, you should keep the keywords under 750 characters. |
| Description Tag |
A meta tag that list the description of the site and it is displayed in the search result. Normally, you should keep the description text under 250 characters. |
| Ranking |
A higher ranking means a particular search result is more relevant to the search terms. There are thousands of matched search results and your site to obtain a higher ranking. |
| Spider/Bot |
A program used by search engines to collect information from your web site. | |
